I just completed my treatment for an implant with Dr Holland and I am more than satisfied with the results. My implant involved more work than a normal one because an adjacent tooth needed treatment as well (an ongoing existing issue that I had), something that was missed by several other dentists and would have caused issues later if not treated. Everything was explained clearly to me, including the treatment plan as well as the total cost of the treatment, so there were no surprises. Dr. Holland only did the work that was needed and did not try to up-sell me at all, even though potentially I could really use a bit more work! Dr. Holland was not rushed during the actual procedure (again, mine was a bit more complicated), which took a bit longer than expected, for which I am thankful, he made sure it was done correctly. He and his staff were great to work with, and I would not be afraid to send anyone his way knowing that they would be in good hands.

Dr. Holland is an absolutely excellent doctor! I had to have oral surgery to add bone into an area operated on over 25 years ago to remove an impacted tooth. Dr. Holland only took an hour to fix me. back up. After 8 days, I am healing nicely. No one likes oral surgery but I would advise those than need this to. give Dr. Holland's office a call.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Holland and his team bcuz I had lost many of my upper teeth, was in a lot of pain, couldn't eat much, and never liked talking or smiling anymore. I went in for a consultation, after hearing amazing things about Dr. Holland's work, and my experience was excellent. I was fitted for an upper denture, scheduled for surgery, and had my medications in hand for the day. On the day of surgery I had 10 extractions and left with my dentures in place. The first 2 days was when I experienced most of my pain and swelling, but I followed the after care instructions, took my medication as prescribed, and by the 3rd day almost all of the pain & swelling was gone. On the 4th day, I wore my denture all day, removed them for the first time overnight, cleaned & soaked them with the denture kit they provided, and in the morning placed them back in my mouth easily.

Through this process, Dr Holland and his staff made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions from scheduling, filing my insurance, creating my denture to the actual surgery itself. I was given Dr. Holland's direct number after surgery in case any questions or concerns came up, but everything went smoothly. I would recommend Advanced Periodontics and Implants of Katy (Dr. Holland) to everyone I know.

Dr. Joseph Holland, DDS, MSD

In 2007, Dr. Holland returned to school to complete his biology degree from Texas A&M University and subsequently received his DDS from UTSD-Houston. Additionally, he obtained his MSD and Certificate in Periodontics from UTSD-Houston. During periodontics residency, he co-authored a research study entitled, “Influence of Platelet-Rich Fibrin on Post-extraction Alveolar Ridge Healing/Preservation: A Clinical, Radiographic, and Histological Evaluation.” The study looked at using a patient’s own growth factors for hard and soft tissue healing in preparation for implants.

According to Dr. Holland, the greatest pleasure of periodontics is having the privilege of helping people save teeth, improve the look and function of teeth, and provide options to maintain or improve their quality of life. As a periodontist, he enjoys interacting with patients and supporting them to achieve their goals.

If he is not in the office, you can find Dr. Holland with his wife, Elise, spending time outdoors, catching a game, playing music, traveling, or visiting with friends and family. He and his wife are excited to be a part of the Katy family and look forward to raising a family of their own in the warm, friendly confines of the Katy community.
